Nicodemus was a Pharisee and a member of the Sanhedrin mentioned in the Gospel of John: Nicodemus first visits Jesus to discuss his teachings. The next time Nicodemus is mentioned, he reminds his colleagues in the Sanhedrin that the law requires that a person be heard before being judged.
